All Natural
Killer & Preventative
for Fleas & Ticks
WARNING: Some dogs are allergic to cedarwood/cedar oil.
We want to begin by saying that this All Natural Solution is for DOGS ONLY. Do not apply this to cats and do not apply this to your dog if you also own cats.
Cats are extremely sensitive to chemicals, even natural ones, and the essential oil solution can be toxic by the cat licking their fur throughout the day. Cats also have sensitive lungs so it is also advisable that you also avoid using essential oils in the proximity of cats.

What Is Cedarwood Oil?
Cedarwood oil is an essential oil from the heartwood of cedars. Cedar oil is natural and non-toxic and used as a natural pesticide and insect repellent. It is antifungal and antibacterial.
Why Use Cedarwood Oil?
It will not only repel (Fleas, Ticks and Mites), it is also a natural pesticide that will kill the pests. According to the U.S.A. Environmental Protection Agency, cedarwood oil has been registered as a pesticide since 1960. The EPA defines a pesticide as any substance intended for preventing, destroying, repelling or mitigating the effect of any pest.
Is Cedar Oil Safe for Dogs?
Cedarwood oil is safe for dogs if it’s applied correctly, if your dog is not sensitive to it! Some dogs have allergies and sensitivities. Be careful not to get any into their eyes, ears or nose. It is best to dilute the essential oils with a carrier oil, such as coconut oil. Oils are powerful!
How To Use Essential Oils With Your Dog
Start slowly and check how your dog reacts to the Cedarwood oil mixture. Dogs are scent-driven animals so do not overwhelm them with too much of the mixture too fast. Each dog may respond differently to the mixture. You can add cedarwood oil to the dog’s shampoo, spray it on your dog’s bedding or spot treat the dog with a cedarwood oil mixed with a carrier oil like Coconut Essential Oil.

You can spray the solution on the dog but when you get near the head, spray a little solution onto a rag or your hands. Avoid the fur around their eyes, mouth, and ears. Try not to get too close to the eyes as even the scent can be very strong. You don’t want to aggravate their sensitive areas. If you do get the oil into their eyes or another sensitive spot flush the area with water to get the out.
If you have a small dog or dog that doesn’t sit still wet a rag or your hands with the cedarwood oil and rub it through the dog’s fur all over the body. This will help you not get the solution into the dogs face.
